The resort called ILHA DO CAPÍTULO is a development destined to serve as a support and amenities structure on land for big yatch owners at Angra dos Reis, Rio de Janeiro’s south coast. A floating pier takes the shape of an arc to keep unobstructed views from the small beach close to the reception pavillion and is capable of receiving 20 boats up to 80 feet.
The pier is prepared to collect and send to a tratment plant all boats sewage, and naturally leads to the welcome pavillion from where electric golf carts depart to all of the islands amenities. In this buiding, as well as all others, we used GLULAM structures for its sustainable quality, salty breeze resistance and formal versatility.
A series of bangalows are distributed troughout the dense native vegetation hilly lanscape to provide privacy for those who want to spend the night on land. There is a BEACH CLUB structure by the reception pavillion for events, and another , more private pavillion, on the other side of the island. That contains a restaurant, bar, changing rooms, swimming pool and a subterranean wine cellar. A full SPA completes the Project.
